A delicious take on a usually calorie dense breakfast.

Ingredients

  • 2 slices low carb bread
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1 tsp powdered sweetener
  • pinch of cinnamon
  • sugar free maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup berries, fresh or thawed from frozen

Instructions

  1. Whisk the eggs, cinnamon and sweetener in a bowl or dish big enough for the bread to fit in.
  2. Soak the bread in the egg mix until the bread is soaked or the egg mix has disappeared.
  3. Heat a non stick frypan over medium heat. Add the bread, depending on the size of your frypan either cook one piece at a time or both together.
  4. Flip and cook the other side.
  5. Serve with the maple syrup and berries.

Notes

The macros for the bread are for Country Split Wholemeal bread. To make gluten free, use your choice of gluten free bread.
