Ingredients

  • 150g reduced carb flour
  • 2 scoops (60g) whey protein powder vanilla flavour **
  • 1/4 cup natvia sweetener
  • 1/2 tsp bicarb soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • zest of 1 lemon
  • juice of 2 lemons
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 200ml almond milk

Icing:

  • 1/4 cup natvia icing sugar
  • 150g low fat cream cheese
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • Dash almond milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees.
  2. In a bowl combine your dry ingredients. Add in your wet ingredients and stir to combine.
  3. Grease and line a cake tin. Pour in the batter
  4. Bake 15 minutes or until a skewer inserted, comes out clean.
  5. Once cooled completely, mix together the icing ingredients and ice the cake.

Notes

** If using plant based protein, you may need to add more liquid.
